DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
Climate Engineering, working alongside T&B Contractors and cost consultant’s WT Partnership, were appointed to deliver an extensive refurbishment of an existing wing of Hammersmith Hospital to form a new Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Control Room.
The project consisted of extensive alterations to the existing wing and the delivery of mechanical services to a bespoke fit-out. The newly configured area will provide the local community with the diagnostic imaging equipment used to visualise the arteries and chambers of the heart. Working alongside the specialist healthcare provider GE Healthcare our scope of works included the design and installation of;
- Heat Recovery Ventilation System
- New Air Conditioning Systems
- New BMS System
- New HWS Systems
- New CWS Systems
- New Drainage Systems
- Commissioning & Handover
The ability to hand over a snag-free space is essential in the delivery of hospital projects as once operational, it is not possible to re-enter the space and interrupt treatment to conduct any remedial work.
